The gua sha is an ancient Chinese tool traditionally made of the bian stone, and used to stimulate the lymph glands and increase blood flow. Bian has many good qualities--it contains more than 40 minerals, including magnesium and zinc, which can help calm the body and prevent pigment changes.

Apply: a facial oil before using the gua sha to provide the best foundation for a good massage.

Care: clean your gua sha with neutral soap and warm water after every use to avoid the spread of bacteria. It can break if you drop it, so you may wish to store it in the fabric bag that it comes in.
