Laura is the artist behind Ceramiceanu. Her design studio is based in Timisoara, a city of historical importance in the west of Romania. In Romanian, "ceramiceanu" is a play on words for someone who creates ceramic pieces. Laura's work was born of her passion for beauty, the coupled human-natural systems, and as an expression of her own individuality.

Constantin Brâncuși (1876 - 1957) was a Romanian artists (sculptor, painter and photographer), who made his career in France. He is considered one of the most influential sculptors of the last 2 centuries and is a pioneer of modernism. The most famous sculptures of Brâncuși are located in various parks in Târgu Jiu, Romania. They are: The Endless Column or Column of Infinity (which measures 2.03 meters tall), The Table of Silence, and The Gate of the Kiss. His Studio, or Atelier Brâncuși is part of Centre Pompidou in Paris and can be visited.

Laura recreated his art in her brooches and has been licensed to reproduce the images of Constantin Brâncuși's work in brooches. These represent the most famous sculptures of Brâncuși. She sells them through the National Art Museum in Timisoara.

The Brâncuși pins are shaped and painted by hand. Each object is uniquely made, which means textures, shapes, and color shades may vary.
